Juana is excited to receive tutoring classes!

Juana Angélica Sac Ajtzalam
Dear Ray and Lael, Venkat, Beth, Chris and Emily, The Butson, and Gillian,

Juana Angélica Sac Ajtzalam

Juana is the daughter of Manuel and María.  She was born on August 23rd, 2003 and is nine years old.  She is enrolled in third grade at the Pasach Primary school and her family lives in the Pasach village, near Nahualá, Guatemala.

Due to Jauana’s father needs, her father emigrated to the United States and makes about $130 dollars a month in income for the family.  Juana’s mother takes care of the home and looks after Juana and her two younger brother and sister and therefore does not bring home money for the family.  This meager income does not enable Juana’s parents to afford academic tutoring through Roots and Wings that Juana has greatly enjoyed.

Juana only needs to walk five minutes down the hill to arrive at her tutoring classes.  She is very excited to be able to have the opportunity to continue these sessions, thanks to the kindness of all of you.  Thank you all for making this possible!

Miguel walks 20 minutes by foot, mostly uphill, to get to the Roots and Wings Tutoring center. He is very excited about school and feels tutoring really helps him do better in school. Thank you so much Mridula for helping support Miguel with his education. He very appreciates your support!
