Lidia wants to be a computer teacher!

Lidia María Tambriz Saso
Dear Matthew, Keith, Pablo, Luke and Ani, Don, UBS, Bill, and Carrie,

Lidia Maria is the daughter of Diego and was born on September 24th, 1999 in Consepción, Guatemala. She is in third grade.

Lidia and her family live in the village of Xexac, which is located in central Guatemala. She dreams of becoming a computer teacher when she grows up, as she sees the importance of using computers. She hopes that by becoming a teacher, she would incentivize other children to also study computers.

Lidia’s father works as a lumberjack, with a monthly salary of US $60 dollars, depending on how many products he sells. Lidia’s mother is in charge of caring for the family’s three children.

In order to arrive at the Roots and Wings Educational Center, Lidia has to walk thirty minutes by foot uphill.  She has no problem making this journey, as she especially enjoys this class and feels like she can apply what she is learning towards her career.

Thank you all so much for helping support Lidia with her computer training classes. She does not think her family could have paid for this training, so she is very grateful for receiving this opportunity.
