Julio is 7 years old and is in first grade. He lives in the Sololá region of rural Guatemala. When he grows up, Julio dreams of being a volunteer firefighter in order to demonstrate how people should work together in the community.
Julio’s father, Francisco, buys Maxan and sells it to local vendors. He makes about $60 a month depending on what he is able to sell. His mother, Manuela, takes care of the house and the children.
The center of education called “Raíces y Alas” where Julio receives his computer training is only about two minutes from his house. He understands the importance of computer literacy for his future and is so very grateful for your gift.
