Shirly loves going to the Roots and Wings tutoring center!

Dear Aubrey, Dallas, Carlos, Judd, Matt & Alison, Tony, Kandace, Ted and Pam, Akiko, and farida,

Shirly is 9 years old and lives in the village of Xejuyup in rural Guatemala. Her parents, Felicia and Diego both work, but earn only $200 a month.

Shirly is currently in third grade, and dreams of becoming an English teacher when she grows up. She loves to go to the Roots and Wings tutoring center, which is just a few minutes from her house! Her favorite story is ‘The Secret of the Turtle.’
