Onofre is the son of Diego and Concepcion. He was born on November 27th, 1997 and is thirteen years old. He is in sixth grade primary school in the small village of Xexac in the southwest region of Guatemala.
Onofre has a dream of becoming a professional agronomist when he grows up. His father works as a lumberjack and brings home an average of US $60 dollars a month, depending on the products he sells. Onofre’s mother takes care of the household, as well as Onofre and his two other brothers.
In order to arrive at the Roots and Wings Educational Center for his computer literacy training class, Onofre has to walk thirty minutes by foot. He is very much looking forward to the class, as he enjoys working with computers and thinks the class will be a lot of fun. Thank you all so much for giving Onofre the opportunity to study computers for a year!
