Marcos wants to be a tourist guide!
posted December 26, 2011

Marcos was born on October 19, 2000. He’s in 5th grade at the Primary School in his rural Guatemalan village of Xexac. He dreams of becoming an English teacher when he grows up so that he can be a guide for tourists when he grows up.
Marcos’ father, Juan, works as a lumberjack and makes about $40USD per month. His mother, María, works hard to take care of the home and the family. Without your generous donation, Marcos’ family would certainly not be able to afford to send him to computer classes.
Marcos walks 30 minutes uphill to the education center called “Raíces y Alas” where he receives his computer classes. He’s very thankful for this opportunity as it will certainly help him achieve his dream of becoming an English teacher.
